Criptomoedas e blockchain: impacto da tecnologia da informação nos negócios e no comércio internacional

Abstract

This dissertation has as its core the study of Information Technologies in Business and International Trade - Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain, aiming to gloss out technical information for future research. The research develops an analysis of these innovations to explain the impact on the commerce and service sectors, as well as the changes they bring to the Global Financial Systems through the use of Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain Technology. The research design uses the Survey method to describe the technological phenomena with the strategy of collecting data to analyze the content longitudinally and with the scientific databases. The generational evolution of virtual currencies is presented, as well as their main characteristics and the analysis of the legal nature, with legal framework in view of the national legislation. In addition, it analyzes Blockchain's multifunctionality in front of developing business platforms, Smart Contracts and the possibility of using these technologies by the Public Sector. It is also evident how Cryptocurrencies and their technology can cause profound changes in the face of the entire Traditional Banking System. Finally, we highlight the benefits that the use of traceability combined with Blockchain technology enables in the various sectors of International Trade.
