Gestão de recursos valiosos: o caso das operadoras de telefonia móvel

Abstract

This research aimed at identifying the changes occurred in the managament of valuable resources as well as the impacts of those ones in the companies surveyed. It was carried out a multi-case, qualitative exploratory study to contribute to the litarature on the limits and potential of ownership models, sharing and outsourcing of resources, as well. The research also focused on mobile phone organizations. The findings showed that changes in the resource management allowed MPO (mobile phone organizations) to spread their coverage areas and the services offered. However,the study also showed changes in revenue per user. Despite that, EBITDA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) margins grew. Such studies suggest that the asset management should require a dynamic, rather than static stratagy. Also, among the bounderies, we might say that these findings can not be generalized. Further studies can validate them as well as evaluate the relationship between resource management strategy and organizational performance.
