<description>Cultura brasileira e inclusão corporativa: uma análise sobre a diversidade nas grandes empresas de Campo Bom - RS
Schmidt, Monique Eduarda Scholles
This research investigates the impact of Brazilian culture on diversity and inclusion practices in large private companies located in Campo Bom, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It addresses a contemporary and relevant topic that still faces significant challenges due to the persistence of prejudice and discrimination against minorities. The study aimed to analyze how Brazilian culture influences the management of diversity and inclusion in these organizations. To achieve this goal, a survey was conducted with 100 participants who responded to a 19-question questionnaire, statistically analyzed with both qualitative and quantitative methods, and supplemented by an extensive theoretical review. Data analysis revealed that, although there are ongoing initiatives and the discussion on the topic has become more frequent, prejudice against minority groups remains evident in the workplace. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of including all types of professionals within companies, valuing their contexts and individual characteristics, and respecting their uniqueness. That said, the study emphasizes the need for more effective diversity and inclusion policies and practices that go beyond superficial initiatives or those motivated only by legal obligations, promoting a truly inclusive and equitable work environment.

<description>As Soft Skills no mercado de trabalho da indústria 4.0
Martinello, Tamara
With the rise of technology in Industry 4.0, many processes have changed and been adapted to this new reality. By adding value where it is present, technology started to be in several sectors, no longer being specific only for those who deal with information technology and its aspects. From then on, not only the processes had to experience changes, but also the work professional. Inserted in a new context, professionals from all areas were challenged to keep their jobs and not be easily replaced by technology. In a highly technological scenario, we usually might think that professionals, during their trajectories in their jobs, should be technically prepared for their work. However, despite seeming a bit contradictory, the more technology has gained space in our lives, the more it is noticed that soft skills are becoming as important, if not more, than technical skills in the job market. Based on this finding, a Literature Review was carried out on the importance of soft skills in industry 4.0, to identify how and which skills can help professionals in this new context that is rapidly arriving in our society.

Given the growing importance of the concept of Circular Economy, which can be acknowledged as a possible solution to achieve sustainable development. Its different approaches and different applications, this study aims to identify the link between Circular Economy, Supply Chain Management and Reverse Logistics. This research offers a Systematic Literature Review covering eleven articles published from 2016 to 2021. A conceptual framework containing the definitions of Circular Economy, Supply Chain Management and Reverse Logistics and their alignments is proposed and identified. Additionally, opportunities for future research, such as conducting empirical studies that identify trade-offs associated to Circular Economy in the context of the Supply Chain, the adoption of Blockchain and the consumer perspective are suggested. This study may be useful for both academics and business professionals as it incites further research and guides the integration of the Circular Economy into the Supply Chain.

<description>Proposição de um modo de entrada nos Emirados Árabes Unidos: um estudo de caso da Sierra Móveis
Cristofolli, Matheus
The present study sought to analyse the most appropriate entry mode in the United Arab Emirates for Sierra Móveis Ltda., a Brazilian furniture manufacturer. This is a descriptive and qualitative case study. In this regard, open and semi-structured interviews, as well as questionnaires, were applied to eight informants - five from the inside and three from the outside of the company: export, sales and communication managers; export and import supervisor; export assistant; executive director of a fur niture exportation project; CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of a company specialized in the Middle East market; and an Executive of a Brazilian bank with operation in the United Arab Emirates. In addition to the interviews and the questionnaire, were used as data collection techniques the documents analysis and the direct observation. Therefore, it was verified as the main findings of this research that Sierra Móveis Ltda. is in a constant process of internationalization and the company has capacity and know-how to expand its brand to markets that have not yet been fully mastered, as well as products with global characteristics. It was also noticed that the nation of the United Arab Emirates is open to foreign investments and, in spite of the cultural differences compared to the western lifestyle, it is a country which demonstrates ease of doing business; it has a diversified population that is accustomed to imported products as well as a stable and bland political environment, good economic indica tors and low costs for investments and importation, mainly if the merchandise is des tined to a free zone. Thus, it was observed that the most adequate entry mode for Sierra Móveis in the United Arab Emirates is by means of a direct investment in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, keeping the production of their furniture in Brazil to guarantee their quality. After the furnishing is ready it will be exported directly for the enterprise in the Arab country.

<description>Diversidade de gênero e inteligência cultural: um estudo de caso múltiplo em duas localidades da multinacional SAP
Bona, Paola de
This study aims to analyze how the cultural intelligence influences the inclusion of gender diversity in the SAP Company, a leading multinational company in the information technology market, in its research and development laboratories located in São Leopoldo, Brazil and Bangalore, India. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with some members of the existing diversity group in the company that focuses on gender intelligence topics in the two locations, the Business Women's Network. In addition, the theoretical basis of this study was accomplished through available literature, articles, studies and web sites research regarding gender diversity topic, Culture and Cultural Intelligence. The main authors of this study were Rocha and Luz (2011), Hofstede (1991) and Livermore (2012). A multi-case study was carried out, developing a research characterized as exploratory, where a content analysis was performed based on qualitative data collected through interviews and document analysis. Through the interviews with the members of the BWN group, the aspects that shape the culture of the company’s location in comparison to the culture of its country were perceived, as well as identifying in which way the participants act in intercultural situations. In this way, it was observed that all interviewees have cultural intelligence skills developed in the four dimensions proposed by Livermore (2012) – Motivational IC, Cognitive IC, Metacognitive IC and Behavioral IC – and these positively impact on the gender diversity inclusion in an environment hegemonically dominated by the male sex. As future research suggestions, it is indicated the study of the IC influence in other areas of the company and/or other locations, the relationship of this theory with other SAP diversity groups and the application of this study to other companies that share the same scenario.

<title>A inovação social e o desafio da transformação social: a experiência do living lab habitat</title>
<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/11200</link>
<description>A inovação social e o desafio da transformação social: a experiência do living lab habitat
Ohlweiler, Marina Kirsch
Habitat means the natural home or environment of a specie, which offers the favorable conditions for life and its development. Not only housing is part of this concept, but also access to education, work, leisure and safety. Brazilian Constitution secures those rights for life dignity. However, there is still a plethora of Brazilian citizens that are not covered by public policies. The Habitat Living Lab emerges as a new field of practice to assist this unreached people group. Through new social relations, Living Lab Habitat acts in favor of the society, using social innovation multi-methods, to achieve community transformation. The present study aims to deepen the understanding about Living Lab Habitat at Território do Bem community, seeking to understand its role as agent of both social innovation and transformation. A case study was conducted with Habitat actors, by using semi-structured interviews. Social innovation has not been developed in its entirety since the co-creation and active user involvement principles did not include nor impact the whole community. Real life-setting and multi-method approach criteria has been well developed. Because of contrasting actors’ objectives, multi-stakeholder participation criteria had not been succeeding. Thereby causing conflicts that led to the rupture of Living Lab Habitat. Therefore, neither social innovation nor social transformation was developed, due the predominance of hindering than facilitating factors.

<title>A governança nas estratégias de venda: influência na segmentação e distribuição de uma marca brasileira de calçados femininos no mercado mexicano</title>
<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/11198</link>
<description>A governança nas estratégias de venda: influência na segmentação e distribuição de uma marca brasileira de calçados femininos no mercado mexicano
Gil, Luiz Eduardo
The footwear industry has undergone significant changes in its pattern of competition in the world market. As a result, markets like Mexico become increasingly attractive to brazilian companies. Because it is a producer country and with great barriers to the importation of footwear, companies that seek to enter their products in the mexican market must seek knowledge and carefully analyze the strategies of segmentation and distribution that will be adopted. Corporate governance and network governance can be related to this process of strategy among members of the distribution chain used to reach Mexico, especially in decision-making. Using a qualitative exploratory research, the present work presents a case study of a brazilian shoe brand that operates in Mexico, regarding the role of corporate and network governance in its strategies of segmentation and distribution. Through interviews with a semi-structured script with the three levels of the distribution channel, index search, written reports, texts, documents about the Mexican footwear market and participant observation of the researcher, it was possible to collect information that was later analyzed based on the theoretical reference presented. The work evaluates the interfaces of corporate and network governance in the strategies of the brand in question, from the perspective of those involved in the process.
