This study examined leaders’ self-perceptions and followers’ other-perceptions of Authentic Leadership (AL)behaviors in a Brazilian cooperative financial institution, a topic of growing relevance given the expansion and socioeconomic impact of cooperativism in the country. A mixed-methods design was adopted: a quantitative phase applying the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ) with a sample of 162 participants (57 leaders; 105 followers) across different levels of the leadership pipeline, and a qualitative phase with individual interviews of four senior executives. Results indicated no significant difference in the ALQ total score between leaders and followers (Mann–Whitney U test, p = 0.406), with similar medians (leaders = 3.06; followers = 3.00). In multivariate analysis, education level predicted the overall ALQ score, suggesting more critical assessments of authenticity among more highly educated respondents; sex did not remain a significant predictor in the final model. In the qualitative phase, facilitators (coherence between discourse and practice; inspiration and ethical consistency) and barriers (limited time for high-quality conversations; politicized contexts; need for psychological safety) emerged. Integrating these findings supports the adequacy of the ALQ for the studied context and informs a development roadmap combining diagnosis (ALQ), guided debriefing, and management artifacts (forums for voice, information openness, decision rituals, and explicit justification of decisions). In sum, the study recommends strengthening participation structures, voice, and transparency, and instituting periodic monitoring via the ALQ to sustain authenticity in everyday routines and its effects on people and organizational decision-making.

Rizzi, Vanessa Nunes
The current organizational environment is characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). Within this context, entrepreneurship remains a key driver of innovation and value creation. However, in large organizations composed of multiple collaborators, entrepreneurial actions are carried out through intrapreneurship, where individuals operate using internal resources under limited autonomy, shared risks, and governance structures that directly influence decision-making. Investigating how intrapreneurs make decisions under uncertainty is essential to understanding the actual mechanisms of organizational innovation and to developing effective approaches for building corporate innovation capacity. This study investigated how these leaders manage to balance dynamically the two logics Causation and Effectuation in uncertain environments. A qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive approach was adopted, using in-depth semi-structured interviews and behavioural profile validation through the Enneagram with seven intrapreneurs from diverse business sectors. The findings reveal that the decision-making process unfolds in three main phases: (1) ideation/dissatisfaction, (2) analysis/search for security, and (3) execution/adaptation. The dynamic balance between logics occurs in an ambidextrous and situational manner and is influenced by individual characteristics such as cognitive style, perception of uncertainty, risk tolerance, and result orientation, as well as support networks and resource availability. The study also revealed that cognitive aspects are shaped by a rooted motivational base, formed by deep desires, fears, and beliefs, whose influence is moderated by each intrapreneur’s level of consciousness. A practical tool called the Strategic Intentionality Flow was developed, integrating cognitive (mental map), emotional (inner compass), and practical (journey into action) dimensions. Additionally, six practical decision-making guidelines were proposed to support strategic choices under uncertainty, providing a structured way to operationalize the dynamic balance between Causation and Effectuation logics in the intrapreneurial context.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13926</link>
Pereira, Muriel Garrido
This study aims to propose a framework for orchestrating innovation networks of the application/commercialization type in the Brazilian context. The research departs from the observation that, despite theoretical advancements, there is still no consensus on the dimensions, processes, and activities that should guide the orchestration of innovation networks. A qualitative exploratory approach was adopted, based on the Design Science Research (DSR) method, which enabled the iterative construction and validation of the artifact. The development of the framework occurred in four stages. First, a literature review was conducted, from which the initial framework (F0) was derived. Subsequently, three validation rounds were carried out with different groups of actors: academics, professionals engaged in innovation projects, and representatives of hubs. Each round provided insights that led to refinements, culminating in the final version (F3) of the framework. The findings indicate that the orchestration of innovation networks requires the consideration of multiple interdependent dimensions, ranging from actor mobilization to relationship management, including agenda alignment, knowledge flows, stabilization, governance, and administrative coordination. The analysis also highlights the relevance of conflict resolution processes, co-creation practices, and continuous alignment of objectives to ensure value creation for network members. From a practical standpoint, the framework offers managers and entrepreneurs a structured and adaptable model for application/commercialization networks in Brazil. From a theoretical perspective, the research advances the field by integrating different strands of literature and presenting an empirically validated model. Limitations are related to the focus on only one type of network and on the Brazilian context. Future studies are encouraged to expand the analysis to other types of networks and international settings.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13925</link>
The general objective of this research was to propose alternatives to stimulate an increase in the volume of financial transactions by members of a Segmented Credit Cooperative. The specific objectives were to analyze the portfolio of services provided by the Cooperative to its members; to identify the reasons why members remain members of the Cooperative; and to analyze the factors that hinder a greater volume of financial transactions by members with the Cooperative. Credit unions play a crucial role in the global economy, often responsible for the social and economic-financial inclusion of an entire community by establishing organized societies that provide services to their members (or members). By means these organizations, members aim to achieve their goals, using cooperation and mutual aid as crucial elements. The research adopted a qualitative approach, grounded in, semi-structured individual interviews with the membership and employees. A total of 22 interviews were conducted, with 10 interviewees being active members, 8 interviewees being inactive members, and 4 interviewees being employees of the institution under study. Data obtained from the interviews revealed that the cooperative occupies a secondary position in the financial lives of most members, thus revealing a low priority regarding the use of its products and services. It also became clear how much the negative experience associated with bureaucracy and lack of autonomy in processes directly impacts this result. Portfolio diversification presented itself not only as a growth opportunity but also as a loyalty strategy, by offering solutions more aligned with the expectations of the target audience. The absence of this product, as well as others, limits the Cooperative's ability to position itself as a comprehensive institution, capable of meeting the broader financial protection needs of its members. A significant share of the members is inactive, meaning they are not using any of the Cooperative's Products and Services or any of its financial solutions. The lack of use of these products and services occurs largely due to misinformation; the informational vacuum that limits the potential for expanding the financial relationship between the parties. For a public increasingly accustomed to fast, intuitive digital solutions, any sign of slowness or the need for intermediation represents a significant barrier. Ultimately, it’s possible to conclude that, beyond operational issues, there’s a strategic repositioning challenge. The Cooperative needs to align its service structure and internal processes with a more agile model, investing in digital channels that increase member autonomy and reduce not only the perception of bureaucracy, but its actual existence. From the research, suggestions for improvements were presented, divided into four central areas: Cooperative Training and Education, Technology and Digital Channels, Service Portfolio, Communication and Relationships.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13924</link>
Ribeiro, Juliana Rondon
This Dissertacion aimed to propose, analyze, and validate the Educational Framework for Career Sustainability, designed as an instrument to support reflection, planning, and professional decision-making in contexts of high complexity. The research is grounded in the assumption that the notion of sustainable careers updates and replaces traditional understandings of stability, aligning with the contemporary transformations of the world of work and the increasing demand for individual protagonism, clarity, and adaptability. The framework is structured around three core pillars — Market, Pride (formerly named Personal Fulfillment), and Life — which articulate objective dimensions (such as employability, remuneration, and opportunities) and subjective ones (such as identity, values, and authorship of the professional journey). From this perspective, the model operates not only as a conceptual resource but also as a pedagogical and reflective instrument, integrating theory and practice to support careers that remain alive, prosperous, and coherent over time. To examine the relevance and applicability of the framework, a mixed methodological strategy was employed with data triangulation. The literature review provided theoretical foundations from classical and contemporary references in career studies, management, and complexity (Savickas, Morin, De Vos, Van der Heijden, among others). The survey, conducted with professionals who used the framework in their career planning processes, shed light on its practical contributions and educational potential. Finally, the expert panel offered technical validation and critical insights, suggesting possible improvements such as the inclusion of items on remuneration, the expansion of reflective questions, and the development of a prescriptive model based on responses. The results confirm the relevance of the Educational Framework for Career Sustainability as both an educational and reflective tool, capable of articulating subjective and objective dimensions, supporting consistent choices, and fostering the reinvention processes necessary for careers to remain sustainable. The findings also indicate that its applicability goes beyond the individual level, suggesting that the framework can be integrated into people management and corporate education practices, thereby strengthening more human-centered and adaptable organizational cultures. In summary, this dissertation contributes to the field of career management by offering an instrument that combines theoretical consistency, practical validation, and educational applicability. Furthermore, it opens pathways for future developments, such as the refinement of educational materials, the creation of more robust diagnostic questionnaires, and the integration of dimensions related to performance and mental health, reinforcing its potential for application in diverse social and organizational contexts.

Frigotto, Jonas Marcel
The telecommunications sector in the Northwest region of Rio Grande do Sul presents a unique competitive challenge: the coexistence of large multinational operators, such as Claro Brasil, and regional Internet Service Providers (ISPs), which leverage agility, proximity, and personalization as market differentiators. In this context, the challenge of this research was to investigate which marketing capabilities are necessary to create and sustain competitive advantage in developing regional markets. The general objective was to propose a marketing capabilities framework adapted to the reality of Northwestern Rio Grande do Sul. To this end, a mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining semi-structured interviews with Claro executives and external partners with a survey applied to 22 internal collaborators from Claro, allowing the triangulation of qualitative and quantitative data. The results indicated that Claro possesses robust marketing capabilities in brand, scale, and infrastructure but faces barriers related to execution agility, regional autonomy, and service personalization. In contrast, local ISPs stand out for their community proximity and rapid response to market demands. Five blocks of marketing capabilities critical to competitiveness in regional markets were identified: local agility; proximity and customer service; data-driven marketing–sales integration; adaptive governance; and customer-focused digitalization. Based on these findings, a framework was developed grounded in the Resource-Based Theory (RBT), dynamic capabilities (Teece, 2007), and the typology of marketing capabilities (Vorhies; Morgan, 2005), connecting theory and practice. It was observed that large operators can sustain competitive advantage in peripheral markets by balancing the strength of corporate scale with personalization and local embeddedness strategies, reinforcing their presence and competitiveness in highly rivalrous environments.

This research identified Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) practices and described their connection with the ESG agenda and stakeholders in manufacturing industries. The exploratory study employed a multiple case study strategy, involving large, publicly traded manufacturing companies from different sectors to capture the diversity of practices and contexts. The research sought to understand how companies implement and integrate sustainability and social responsibility practices into their supply chains, and how these practices connect with organizational stakeholders. The research used in-depth interviews and document analysis to collect detailed data on the policies, processes, and outcomes of these practices. Data analysis was guided by thematic content evaluation to identify patterns, emerging themes, and relationships between SRM practices and perceived impacts on sustainability and corporate governance. The results contribute to a better understanding of how supplier management strategies can align with ESG objectives and positively influence the most representative stakeholders. Finally, the proposition of research-oriented guidelines across organizational, human resources, and technology dimensions provides relevant drivers for companies to promote more sustainable and responsible practices in their supply chain within the contemporary business context.

Haas, Bianca Heck
Innovation is a key factor for the survival and competitiveness of family-owned industrial firms, particularly within the context of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), which face resource constraints, lean structures, and high managerial complexity. These firms constantly grapple with the challenge of balancing the pursuit of innovation with the need to maintain operational efficiency, generating tensions that arise from choices between ensuring present-day productivity and investing in future innovation, between maintaining stability and seeking adaptability, and between preserving the known and exploring the new. Organizational ambidexterity - understood as the ability to balance exploration (innovation and experimentation) and exploitation (efficiency and refinement of existing capabilities) - emerges as a promising approach to address these tensions. However, achieving this balance is challenging and involves risks such as knowledge loss, internal conflicts, and resistance to change. This study aims to propose practical guidelines to help family-owned industrial SMEs manage these tensions effectively. A qualitative multiple-case study was conducted, involving in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal hybrid evidence of contextual, structural, and leadership-based ambidexterity, as well as recurring tensions related to succession, multifunctionality, risk management, and organizational culture. The research delivers strategic and operational guidelines to support the development of more balanced, adaptable, and sustainable management practices.

Gomes, Antonio Tabosa
In today’s landscape, profit-driven organizations coexist alongside entities committed to building a more solidarity-based society, often motivated by psychological, sociological, religious, and ideological values. Within this context, this Master’s research investigates a non-profit organization affiliated with a religious institution, with the aim of understanding the governance and management practices of its Board of Directors. The study is grounded in two classical governance theories: Agency Theory and Stewardship Theory. A qualitative methodology was employed through a single case study, adopting a constructivist, interpretive, and exploratory approach. Data was collected through document analysis, interviews, and direct observation, and was organized using content analysis techniques. The findings reveal a board composed entirely of women religious from diverse educational and professional backgrounds. Although some members lack formal training in management, they have developed tacit knowledge that supports their roles effectively. However, the board’s homogeneity, limited to members of consecrated life, poses challenges to plurality and diversity of perspectives, which are essential for sound governance practices. In light of this, the study presents a series of recommendations to strengthen the organization’s governance, including: ongoing training for board members; drafting of internal regulations; appointment of technical leadership; enhancement of communication channels; inclusion of technical staff in board meetings; definition of transparent decision-making criteria; establishment of a humane dismissal policy; periodic evaluations of the Board; and structured succession planning. This research aims to contribute to the advancement of governance studies in religious organizations characterized by the Catholic ethos, promoting reflections and practices more aligned with the principles of good governance in the third sector.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13763</link>
Shimomukay, Roseane
The Brazilian supplementary healthcare sector constitutes a contested field, characterized by tensions between economic, social, and political interests. This study, grounded in institutional theory, seeks to understand the dynamics of legitimacy in this market by analyzing its historical trajectory, current structure, and emerging institutional logics. The research identifies three predominant institutional logics — the market logic, the social rights logic, and the state logic — that influence the practices and decisions of sector actors. The findings indicate that the sector's legitimacy is continuously challenged by factors such as the perception of excessive profit-driven focus, the intense growth of judicialization, and questions regarding the effectiveness of ANS regulation. Attacks on the sector's legitimacy undermine trust among stakeholders, requiring strategies that reconcile regulatory pressures, social demands, and ethical practices to sustain the market's normative, cognitive, and regulatory legitimacy. Strategies focused on transparency and consumer education are highlighted as essential for strengthening market trust and promoting greater balance. The theoretical contribution of this study lies in its understanding of the dynamics of legitimation and delegitimation in a contested market influenced by multiple institutional logics and marked by strong regulatory presence. The practical contribution lies in providing insights for the development of institutional and discursive strategies that reinforce the sector’s legitimacy through proposals to mitigate the attacks promoted by identified narratives. Finally, the study of the supplementary healthcare market can support public policies by revealing different perspectives and discourses within the debate.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13762</link>
Ferreira, Ricardo Ertel
This research investigates the applicability of the Leadership Pipeline in an agricultural cooperative, analyzing its opportunities and limitations. The Pipeline model structures leadership development into seven progressive levels, based on professional values, time management, and specific skills. However, the organizational structure and cooperative culture, characterized by shared governance, decentralized decision-making, and strong collaboration, may present different implications for its implementation compared to conventional organizations. Through qualitative interviews with leaders from a large agricultural cooperative and another that already adopts the Pipeline model, the study sought to understand their perceptions regarding their leadership journey and development. The results indicate that, although the model serves as an effective strategy for leadership development and management, its implementation faces challenges such as the lack of a formal succession process, the need for a strategic HR approach, and the involvement of senior leadership. The direct participation of the board in leadership development emerged as a crucial factor for the model’s success. Additionally, discrepancies between leaders' perceptions and organizational reality were identified, emphasizing the importance of structured career progression processes. The study recommends continuous training, talent management enhancement, and stronger HR alignment with organizational strategy, ensuring systematic leadership development while respecting the cooperative culture. Thus, this research contributes to the discussion on management professionalization, governance strengthening, and the long-term sustainability of agricultural cooperatives.

Buzatti, Maicon Rodrigo
The research proposal explores the concept of open innovation within the context of agricultural cooperativism, highlighting the role of startup ecosystems as catalysts for innovation and technological development. In a scenario where innovation is vital for sustainability and competitiveness, the study proposes a framework for agricultural cooperatives that integrates open innovation practices and collaboration with startups, aiming to improve efficiency, productivity, and the adaptability of cooperatives to market challenges.With an emphasis on cooperative dynamics and the creation of shared value, the work analyzes how cooperatives can benefit from establishing strategic partnerships with startups, leveraging the innovation potential and agility of these companies to address specific issues in the agricultural sector. The research also examines how cooperatives can structure their operations to support open innovation, using the experiences of successful startup ecosystems in other sectors as a reference.Furthermore, the study considers the challenges and opportunities that arise when implementing open innovation practices in cooperatives, addressing issues such as governance, organizational culture, and intellectual property management. The dissertation suggests strategies for developing collaborative ecosystems that encourage the sharing of knowledge and resources, fostering an environment where cooperatives and startups can jointly develop innovative solutions.To strengthen the proposal, the research incorporates a detailed analysis of open innovation models applied to agribusiness, evaluating how these models can be adapted to the specific context of agricultural cooperatives. The study concludes with the presentation of a practical framework designed to serve as a reference for agricultural cooperatives interested in adopting open innovation practices, providing a structured guide to integrate startups and drive digital transformation in the sector.Thus, this dissertation not only introduces an innovative approach to cooperativism but also contributes a theoretical and practical framework focused on creating an open innovation model applicable to cooperatives, with the goal of strengthening the agricultural sector and adding value to the cooperative community.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13759</link>
Bolzan, Jessyca Leon
The training of successors should be understood as a strategic practice that highlights managerial responsibility and concern for the longevity of cooperative organizations. The absence of leadership prepared for continuity can have negative impacts on activities, compromising their growth and sustainable development. Therefore, this study aims to understand, from the perspective of the cooperative members, the factors that influence the succession of the boards of an agricultural cooperative in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The research adopted a qualitative approach through a case study, using document analysis, focus group discussions, and observation as data collection techniques. The participant groups in the study were composed of 52 individuals, including board members, fiscal council members (both regular and alternate), cooperative members, former board members, and dependents, with varying profiles in terms of age, position, and length of association with the cooperative.&#13;
The data were analyzed based on thematic categories, enabling an understanding of the main factors influencing succession, and data triangulation provided support for suggesting guidelines for the formalization of a succession program. The results show that the cooperative is already making efforts to train its members, recognizing the importance of qualified succession. The research revealed that the sense of belonging is the main motivation for participation in elected positions, while some barriers remain, such as unclear bylaws and the absence of objective criteria for certain processes. It is concluded that senior management and cooperative members are demonstrating increasing institutional maturity and engagement with internal improvements, which supports the development of an environment more prepared for board succession. The findings can inform corrective actions and strategies to improve governance within the cooperative.

Powdered milk consumption in Brazil is influenced by economic, cultural, health and behavioral factors, making it a complex topic of analysis. This study investigated the challenges of legitimacy and the consumption dynamics of this product in Rio Grande do Sul, considering the elements that affect its acceptance. The research is justified by the importance of the sector in generating employment and income, in addition to the need for strategies to encourage consumption. The methodological approach adopted was qualitative and interpretative, allowing us to understand consumers' perceptions and behaviors in depth. The results showed that the preference for fresh milk is strongly linked to cultural factors. However, challenges such as the historical association of powdered milk with contexts of scarcity and the lack of knowledge about its nutritional benefits impact its acceptance in the Rio Grande do Sul market. Given this scenario, marketing and communication strategies are essential to increase the acceptance of powdered milk, including educational campaigns, packaging innovations and partnerships with opinion leaders. Furthermore, the historical reinterpretation of the product and its valorization as a practical and nutritious alternative can contribute to its legitimization. Therefore, strengthening the image of powdered milk, combined with a strategic approach, can consolidate it as a viable and advantageous option for consumers.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13756</link>
The study aimed to understand the perceptions of cooperative managers about the contributions of the implementation of the Cooperative Development Program (PDGC). Specifically, it sought to characterize the sociodemographic and professional profile of the subjects participating in the research; identify the professionals' perception regarding the applicability of the PDGC; verify the Governance structures used by the cooperatives. Methodologically, the study was defined as qualitative, descriptive, and as a research instrument, an online interview was applied to 08 managers with an adapted script. The interview script was adapted from the authors Bauer (2020) and Scott, 2023, composed of profile questions and open questions about the PDGC that allowed for a deeper exploration. The data were analyzed, coded and processed in Word. Content analysis was used for the analysis. The results indicated a predominance of females, which is a positive reflection of the space conquered by women in strategic and leadership positions within the organization. The ages range from 30 to 52 years old, which indicates a group of respondents in full professional maturity. Teams are at different levels of structuring, with structured teams, with responsibilities distributed across sectors of people management, processes, and environment, and are advanced in relation to the PDGC. A direct involvement of management and superintendence was also revealed, with a consolidated process area, which contributes to the maturity of management and use of the PDGC. Governance structures used by cooperatives. It was found that the governance of cooperatives is aligned with the extended traditional model, that is, it maintains the basic structure of the traditional model, composed of a general assembly, fiscal council, and administrative council, but incorporates an executive board. It is also suggested for future research comparisons between cooperatives in another sector, analyzing similarities and particularities in their governance models.

Boelter, Diego
This study investigates resource orchestration in digital ecosystems, focusing on agribusiness, and explores how companies organize, combine, and leverage resources to generate competitive advantage. The research adopts a single case study of Orbia, a well-established digital platform in the agricultural sector, analyzing its resource orchestration mechanisms and value creation strategies. The theoretical framework is based on the Resource-Based View (VBR) and its evolution into Resource Orchestration, which emphasizes the strategic mobilization of internal and external assets to drive innovation and sustainability in digital ecosystems. The methodology is qualitative, employing document analysis and semi-structured interviews to capture the orchestration dynamics within Orbia. Data analysis is coded using the template analysis methodology. The results indicate that competitive advantage in digital ecosystems does not stem solely from possessing valuable resources but from the ability to efficiently manage and combine them in collaboration with strategic partners. The study highlights the central role of resource orchestration and cooperation among ecosystem actors, demonstrating that successful digital platforms operate through strategic interdependence among complementary companies. The contributions of this research are both theoretical and practical. Theoretically, the study reinforces the relevance of Resource Orchestration as an extension of VBR in digital environments. From a managerial perspective, it provides insights into how companies can structure their digital ecosystems to maximize value and competitiveness. The study presents some limitations, such as analyzing a single case, which may restrict the generalization of findings. As a suggestion for future research, it is recommended to explore multiple digital ecosystems across different sectors to broaden the understanding of resource orchestration strategies.

This study aims to analyze the contributions of the Human Resources (HR) department to the achievement of organizational goals in an agricultural cooperative. The research is based on the understanding that HR can play a strategic role by aligning people management practices with institutional objectives and cooperative principles. To this end, a literature review was conducted on the cooperative model, the fundamentals of people management, and the strategic roles of HR in the contemporary organizational context. The investigation adopted a quantitative approach and involved the application of a structured questionnaire to senior management and managers of an agricultural cooperative located in the northwest region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with the aim of capturing perceptions about the positioning of the HR department, its degree of alignment with organizational strategy, and its effectiveness in processes such as communication, talent development, and organizational culture. The results indicate that, although the HR area is recognized as important, there are still challenges to consolidating its role as a strategic agent. The study proposes improvements in people management practices and emphasizes the importance of integrating cooperative values into HR policies, fostering greater synergy between departments and contributing to the organization's sustainability.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13753</link>
Both, Carolina
Considering the relevance of agricultural cooperatives for the socioeconomic development of Rio Grande do Sul, this study aims to analyze how capital structure indicators are used in the financial management decisions of these organizations. Based on classical capital structure theories, especially the Pecking Order Theory (POT) and the Trade-off Theory, the study adopts a qualitative and descriptive approach, based on a multiple case study involving four large agricultural cooperatives. Data collection was carried out through triangulation of sources, combining documentary analysis of the 2023 financial statements — to calculate indicators such as profitability, liquidity, solvency, and debt — and semi-structured interviews with financial managers, in order to capture perceptions and management practices. The data were analyzed through content analysis and integration of quantitative and qualitative information. The results demonstrate that financial indicators are central to the management of cooperatives, influencing decisions on debt, investments, and distribution of surpluses. It was observed that larger and more profitable cooperatives tend to adopt more conservative positions regarding the use of third-party capital, considering not only financial metrics, but also social and strategic aspects and meeting the needs of members. Risks such as default and seasonality directly impact financial decision-making. Among the practical recommendations, the following stand out: improving strategic financial planning, prudent debt management, multifactorial assessment of investment viability, continuous risk monitoring and strengthening the financial education of members. This study fills a gap in the literature by applying classical theories to the cooperative context of Rio Grande do Sul and offers relevant insights for managers and researchers seeking to understand and improve financial management in agricultural cooperatives.

<description>Mercado de tendências e futuros: linhas do tempo performativas
Trieweiler, Kim Kevin Ludvig
This project investigates how companies operating in the Brazilian trends and futures market produce performativity through the future images, market representations, and sociotechnical imaginaries they develop and disseminate, understood here as future statements. Starting from a historical analysis of the field of Futures Studies and the concept of market performativity, the research adopts a qualitative and interpretative approach, using a multiple case study to understand how these companies contribute to the production of market performativity. The study contributes to the advancement of Market Studies and Futures Studies by revealing three central processes in the production of performativity by these companies. First, hybridization and crosspollination, evidenced by the circulation of concepts, methods, and references between the market and academia, resulting in practices that move across different fields of knowledge; second, the inscription of future statements into practices, devices, and discourses, through the materialization of this knowledge, which then mediates the actions of both the companies themselves and their clients in the market; and finally, the stabilization of the unpredictable future, when future statements produced are treated as constative rather than performative knowledge, organizing past, present, and future in a stable way, reducing uncertainty and guiding actions in the present.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13609</link>
The general objective of this work is to propose a framework to contribute to the effectiveness of customer service provided by agro-industrial cooperatives through satisfactory solutions in their distribution logistics. Distribution logistics and customer satisfaction are topics widely discussed in the literature; however, their specific application to the context of cooperatives remains little explored, giving relevance to the research, since there is no structure that relates customer requirements, competitive dimensions with theories and production systems. To carry out the study, the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology was used, which allows the construction of artifacts that interact with the real environment. Data collection involved different actors in the logistics chain who are managers of agro-industrial cooperatives, in order to understand the main difficulties and needs related to customer service in distribution logistics. In addition, as a validation step, the framework was submitted to validation by a focus group, composed of professors and experts, who provided contributions to the refinement of the model. The final artifact projects an approach based on the synergy between methods derived from theories and systems, including the Theory of Constraints (TOC), the Toyota Production System (TPS), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) with the aim of achieving customer satisfaction through the requirements desired by customers in distribution logistics. Among the main results found, the importance of structuring a model that integrates performance indicators and the SLA (Service Level Agreement) as a type of ‘agreement’ serving to externalize what the customer wants stands out. Finally, the development of the artifact offers a structure so that cooperative managers can achieve customer satisfaction and what needs to be considered to reach this specific objective through the use of satisfactory solutions.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13588</link>
Spohr, Jorge Evandro
Agricultural cooperatives play a fundamental role in the economic and social development of Rio Grande do Sul. Due to their unique characteristics, in which their members simultaneously act as owners, suppliers, clients, and collaborators, an important challenge emerges in making strategic decisions while adhering to cooperative principles. Over the past decades, many cooperatives have faced significant challenges or even ceased operations, while others have expanded exponentially and solidified their positions. In this context, this research analyzed the variables considered by cooperative managers when deciding on investments in new businesses. This study is based on the analysis of the three elements that form the strategy tripod: Industry-Based View, Resource-Based View, and Institution-Based View. The research approach aimed to understand how each component of the strategy tripod influences decision-making within cooperatives. Through a multiple-case study, interviews were conducted with the key managers of three cooperatives, all of whom possess decision-making power and experience in strategic investments within their organizations. Theoretically, the study contributed to demonstrating the integration of the three elements of the strategy tripod, highlighting the influence of each on investment decisions. The results indicate that decision-making is impacted by competitive forces, internal resources, and institutional factors. However, pressures arising from industry competition stand out as the most noticeable to managers. Based on these findings, the study proposed guidelines and recommendations to strengthen governance, optimize resource allocation, and reduce dependence on external factors, contributing to the stability, sustainable growth, and longevity of cooperatives.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13587</link>
Schwade, Darlan Eduardo
From a competitive perspective, the integration of technology and innovation is the driving force for new opportunities in the cooperative ecosystem associated with agribusiness. Using the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology, this research proposed a framework to guide the combination of internal and external resources in the innovation ecosystem of agricultural cooperatives, with the aim of generating services capable of increasing the competitiveness of cooperatives. Based on the dynamics of innovation ecosystems and the complementarity of resources and skills, the research showed how these elements can promote additional and appropriate value and results that would not be achieved in isolation by the different actors involved. The results of the research showed how the ecosystem can integrate the innovation actions of the agricultural cooperative system and, through the logic of complementarity, promote sustainability, offering services capable of simultaneously meeting market demands and the internal demands of the cooperative system. The proposed framework reflects an integrated view of the ecosystem, organized into three interdependent subsystems. The innovation, research, technology and extension subsystem, positioned as the central core, has the role of integrating and coordinating the dynamics of the ecosystem, connecting with the internal subsystem (cooperatives and producers) and the external subsystem (market). This integration and interaction between the subsystems enables the exchange of resources and strategic capabilities, which in a complementary manner generate additional value through the services offered. These services are directed both to cooperative members and cooperatives, called S1 services, and to external actors, called S2 services, meeting their respective demands. In other words, transforming resources into services that, through innovation, drive economic growth. Competitiveness thus arises as a result of the effective use of resources, the capacity for adaptation and the expansion of knowledge, promoting an innovative and sustainable environment within the agricultural cooperative ecosystem.

Rizzo, Guilherme Augusto
In order to maximize the return on invested capital, companies must guide&#13;
their marketing strategies by targeting and maintaining the best customers.&#13;
Considering that customers are assets, and may have different profitability, the&#13;
present study aimed to develop an analysis system to drive marketing resource&#13;
allocation, based on Customer Lifetime Value, targeting the most profitable customer&#13;
profiles and segments for a company that operates in a contractual configuration with&#13;
continuous transactions. In this research, a company in the Brazilian energy sector&#13;
was analyzed. The model used an econometric approach, in a model classified as a&#13;
relationship model. For this model, there are two components, the first one is related&#13;
to margin expansion, modeled by a linear regression model through the least&#13;
squares method and the second one is related to customer retention, modeled by&#13;
Cox proportional hazard model. The model was based in Venkatesan and Kumar&#13;
(2004), Malthouse and Blattberg (2005), Gupta et al. (2006) and Donkers, Verhoef&#13;
and Jong (2007). RStudio software was used for modeling and data statistical&#13;
treatment. To develop the analysis system to drive marketing resource allocation the&#13;
customer acquisition cost was considered, and the Prospect Lifetime Value metric&#13;
was used. The results showed that there is a significant difference between the&#13;
projected segments profitability of the company, allowing marketing resources to be&#13;
directed towards a greater return. This works presents an implementation framework&#13;
to drive a more efficient marketing resources allocation, supporting the importance of&#13;
a different customer profiles portfolio, managing risk and return among the company&#13;
segments. This research reinforces that analyzing and targeting different customer&#13;
profiles and segments directly impacts Customer Lifetime Value, and consequently,&#13;
Customer Equity, return on marketing investment and the value of the company.

Understanding the customer experience is a fundamental point for the development and management of services in all organizations, and higher education is no different. This case study aims to analyze the journey of a medical student at a higher education institution in Goiás, exploring the dimensions of quality and satisfaction. To carry out the research, extended focus groups were held, in addition to interviews with higher education course coordinators. Through these groups, the experience of academics was evaluated at the different points of contact that are covered during their journey in each of the cycles, seeking to understand how interactions happen, their experiences, perceptions about different aspects, quality of services, and how satisfaction is generated at different moments. As main results, we could observe that in each of the cycles students interact with various points of contact, during these stages, students have the opportunity to add knowledge, increase their experiences, evaluate the level of quality and satisfaction through of the resources offered by the IES, and by the partner institutions to carry out practical activities. With the study, it was possible to identify that academics positively evaluated the experiences during the course, disagreeing about the quality of resources in general, and highlighting aspects that can be developed to add greater satisfaction. Finally, each cycle presents unique aspects regarding quality and satisfaction, since during the journey the student goes through different points of contact as they evolve and go through the basic, clinical and internal cycles.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13548</link>
Tassotti, Marcos Vinicius Barbosa
The main objective of this study is to propose a framework of marketing strategies to support the legitimization of the value proposition of dairy cooperative products in Rio Grande do Sul. Although legitimization and value proposition are topics with significant existing literature, the specific focus of this study remains underexplored, which highlights the relevance of this research. To achieve this, the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology was applied, as it allows for the creation of artifacts that interact with the real world and proved to be appropriate for the proposed objective. Data collection involved various stakeholders in the value chain, including cooperative employees responsible for managing the value proposition, sales representatives who connect the cooperative to the market, and customers, who are ultimately responsible for generating value. Additionally, as part of the validation process, the framework was evaluated by a panel of experts composed of a Ph.D. professor and a sales representative with extensive experience in the dairy industry. Among the main findings, the importance of clearly communicating symbolic and emotional values stood out, as these values, when well understood by consumers, can become decisive in purchase decisions. The framework proposes an integrated value proposition through a system in which cooperatives remain focused on communicating their values through economic and functional attributes, while larger entities, such as associations and representative industry organizations, focus their efforts on building a unified image of cooperativism at the national level. This communication should prioritize symbolic and emotional values, which have the potential to directly impact the legitimation of cooperativism as a differentiating element for cooperative products in the Brazilian dairy market.

The study analyzed the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing voluntary Halal and Kosher certifications as a growth strategy for milk and dairy production cooperatives in the southern region of Brazil. The research, which was qualitative and exploratory in nature, involved interviews with professionals experienced in the certification implementation process, including cooperative managers, specialists in mandatory requirements, and market development specialists. As a result, the study provided a better understanding of the challenges faced, such as input traceability, cross-contamination, employee training, audit costs, and competition with international prices. The main opportunities associated with these certifications were also identified, including access to strategic markets (such as Arab countries, Israel, and the USA), strengthening brand positioning in terms of quality, and the possibility of serving specific niches. In addition to broadening the understanding of the topic, the research produced a set of good practices for implementing certifications, consisting of five pillars: diagnosing the management system and processes, process management, training, infrastructure and quality control, and market relations. These pillars aim to assist cooperatives in the certification process. The research focused on the analysis of two cooperatives, suggesting an expanded scope by including private companies in future studies, examining consumer perceptions of the value of certifications, and evaluating the implementation and impact of the suggested good practices. The study highlights these certifications as innovation-driven strategies for market development and for meeting the demands of diverse audiences.

Brose, Whillian Duarte
Self-organization of project teams is one of the six characteristics identified by Takeuchi; Nonaka (1986) that gives companies flexibility and speed in the development of products and solutions. Schwaber (1997) incorporated this characteristic when creating a new approach to software development process which he called Scrum, being currently one of the most used agile methods in the world according to CollabNet VersionOne (2019). According to Heylighen (2002), Self-Organization arose from many different scientific fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, cybernetics and is directly related to Complexity Theory and Systemic Thinking, with exponents Edgar Morin and Fritjof Capra respectively, giving rise to the Systemic-Complex Paradigm. This study aimed to understand the Self-Organization in a Scrum Team, in the light of the Systemic-Complex Paradigm, based on the principles of recursion, hologramaticity and dialogic proposed by Morin. A qualitative methodological approach was used, through action-research, in a team that used the Scrum proposed in Scrum Guide by Schwaber; Sutherland (2020) in a large Information Technology company. As a result, the relationships of the people were analyzed and the influence of the Environment (external to the team) was understood, considering the complexities and actors involved, of the Whole (team) with the creation of Systemic Maps and Computational Modeling of Scrum and the Self-Organization, and of the Parts (team members), where 31 factors were found that influence the Self-Organization of the members of the Scrum Team. From this, the relationship of Scrum with the Systemic-Complex Paradigm was established and opportunities for improvement in the Self-Organization process of a team using Scrum in software development were identified.

Reuter, Robson Elias
The knowledge accumulated in family-owned rural properties has become a valuable asset, essential for ensuring the continuous and efficient functioning of these operations. The loss of this knowledge, due to emergencies or the lack of structured transfer processes, poses a significant risk to the sustainability of these enterprises. This study highlights the importance of transferring and preserving essential knowledge for succession in rural properties and underscores the cooperative’s role as a facilitator in this process. The dissertation addresses the development of a tool designed to aid in the transfer and management of knowledge during succession processes. The goal is to ensure that the practices and experiences of family heads are effectively passed on to successors, promoting the continuity of the properties and strengthening their relationship with the cooperative. To achieve this, interviews were conducted with members, successors, cooperative leaders, and representatives from an educational institution offering a training program for young rural entrepreneurs. The analysis of the collected data resulted in a tool built on four main pillars: investment, technical aspects, family, and management. This tool aims to support the sustainability of the properties, enhancing relationships between parents, children, and cooperatives. As a proposal, a mentoring program was outlined for the members, addressing strategic, operational, and family aspects, with a strong emphasis on knowledge management. All materials generated during the mentorship sessions are documented using knowledge management resources in a secure digital platform, enabling continuous access and fostering a culture of ongoing learning. The study's findings were presented to the cooperative's board and other interviewees, who recognized the service's transformative potential and high value for members. The dissertation concludes that a well-structured mentorship program can be a critical element for the sustainability of family-owned rural properties, equipping successors with the necessary tools and knowledge to face the challenges of agricultural modernization and market demands.

<description>O fortalecimento do relacionamento existente entre cooperativas agropecuárias e produtores rurais no estado do Rio Grande do Sul
Schmidt, Marcia
This study aimed to strengthen the relationship between agricultural cooperatives and rural producers in the state of Rio Grande do Sul (RS), Brazil. To achieve this goal, the main reasons that led rural producers to join a cooperative, as well as the factors that keep them associated over time, were analyzed. The results indicated that the main factors influencing producers’ decisions to associate with and remain in cooperatives are trust, security, technical assistance, and financial return, among others. Understanding these motivations was crucial to improving the relationship and retaining these members. Among the most prominent benefits are the high-quality technical assistance and the security provided by the cooperatives, to mention a few. Additionally, a comparative analysis of perceptions regarding the benefits of association was proposed, considering both the cooperatives' and rural producers' perspectives. The study also identified the expectations and potential demands of young rural producers, representing the new generations entering agricultural activities. For the new generation of rural producers, expectations include greater technical training, rapid financial return, and personalized solutions, among others. Finally, the study provided concrete guidelines to strengthen the relationships between agricultural cooperatives and rural producers in the state. The research adopted a qualitative and exploratory approach, carried out through in-depth individual interviews with a semi-structured methodology. A total of 27 in-depth interviews were conducted, including 9 with agricultural cooperative managers and 18 with members, covering both the current and new generations of producers. The content analysis technique was employed to analyze and interpret the data. Through this study, it was possible to propose strategies to strengthen and improve the existing relationships between agricultural cooperatives and rural producers, fostering a more sustainable and collaborative environment for the economic development of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

This research analyzes working capital management practices in agricultural cooperatives affiliated with FECOAGRO, emphasizing the challenges faced by these organizations, such as economic crises, production seasonality, and credit dependency, which demand robust financial strategies to ensure competitiveness and sustainability. The study aims to to analyze and identify strategies and tools for managing working capital by analyzing indicators such as liquidity, indebtedness, investments, and profitability, in addition to proposing recommendations to mitigate financial vulnerabilities. The methodology is based on data from accounting reports, socioeconomic analyses, and interviews with managers. The results indicate that efficiency in working capital management is essential for balancing liquidity and profitability, utilizing tools such as cash flow analysis and inventory control. The research also identifies high levels of indebtedness as a central obstacle, highlighting the need to diversify funding sources and optimize the retention of surpluses to improve financial health. Furthermore, it points out that seasonality and market variability increase financial risks, necessitating strategies such as receivables securitization and effective financial planning. Among the recommendations are investments in staff training, the use of technologies for financial control, and the implementation of rigorous credit policies. It concludes that effective working capital management is a competitive advantage in the agricultural sector, making it essential to adopt advanced financial practices and align with socioeconomic indicators to mitigate risks, ensure sustainability, and foster cooperative development.

This current study aims to understand the impacts on organizational culture on&#13;
notarial activity from the regulation of digital acts through Provision No. 100/2020 of&#13;
the National Council of Justice. The changes that occurred in the activity under study&#13;
were consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. The sanitary restrictions forced the&#13;
migration of the provision from face-to-face services to the hybrid model. The&#13;
regulation has accelerated the digital transformation of the activity, which is still&#13;
ongoing. The research covered the notary offices in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul,&#13;
and the interviews were conducted with notaries and representatives. From the&#13;
interviewees' experiences, the impacts on the studied context can be perceived. The&#13;
research highlights the influences of digital transformation on organizational culture&#13;
and its interrelationship with citizens, society and the State. The dissertation&#13;
contributed valuable information to the notarial activity in Brazil, because it explored&#13;
and analyzed a subject little studied in the academy about this segment, the effects of&#13;
digital transformation in organizational culture. In this context, this research provides&#13;
results and knowledge for organizations and academia.

Mello, Iara Cristiane
The objective of this study was to understand the customer retention of legal entities (MSEs – Micro and Small Enterprises) in a financial public institution. The Financial Institution is one of the main public policy agents of the Federal Government. Identifying the motives that might have led to the desertion of customers and proposing directives to leverage customer retention of this segment in the study was the focus of this research. A qualitative research of an exploratory nature was carried out, operationalized through in-depth individual interviews with a semi-structured approach, by means of the application of a Basic Screenplay Quiz for fourteen customers of the type legal entities and nine managers of the Public Financial Institution. After conducting the interviews, the results were analyzed based on the concepts of service quality and customer satisfaction and their impact on customer retention. Therefore, actions were proposed to leverage the customer retention of legal entities (MSEs) for the Public Financial Institution in the study. The results revealed a set of factors that influence both customer retention and loss. Factors such as subsidized credit lines and relationships with Managers are strong reasons that keep customers with the Institution under study. On the other hand, problems with systems and processes cause customers to migrate to other financial institutions. Investment in processes, technology, and people contributes to the digital transformation necessary for the institution to continue striving for service quality, satisfaction, and customer retention.

This study presents prospective scenarios for milk production in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 2030. Considering the importance of the dairy sector to Brazilian agribusiness and the challenges it faces, such as the decline in the number of producers and increasing global competitiveness, the research employs a scenario-based methodological approach to explore potential future trajectories. The study seeks to identify the factors influencing the sector's competitiveness, economic trends, and social changes that may impact dairy production. Employing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through surveys with producers and technicians and conducted in the northwest mesoregion of Rio Grande do Sul, the state’s leading milk-producing region. Four main scenarios were developed: “Scenario 1: Competitive Transformation”, which envisions high technological adoption and productive efficiency aimed at the export market; “Scenario 2: Traditional Resilience”, characterized by stable production without significant technological advancements; “Scenario 3: Modernization Dilemma”, where producers adopt new technologies but struggle to achieve profitability; and “Scenario 4: Productive Collapse”, depicting small producers in vulnerable conditions, reliant on welfare policies. By constructing prospective scenario, the study provides insights into the variables impacting milk production, offering valuable perspectives for both the productive sector and academia.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13470</link>
Startups are central actors in entrepreneurship ecosystems and contribute directly to the economic and social growth and development of the regions in which they are located. However, despite their relevance, they face several challenges in accessing financial capital and often have only a good idea but no financial resources to put their objectives into practice. In this sense, VC (venture capital) allows startups to develop, turn their ideas into reality, access expert knowledge, and accelerate their growth. To achieve the research objective, which is to analyze the behavior of VC flows and their relationship with variables at the entrepreneurship ecosystem level—such as the density of human capital with higher education, research-intensive universities, intellectual property, innovation environments, and public R&amp;D investments—a longitudinal descriptive study was conducted to detail the characteristics of a specific sample and its phenomena. Research on startups and their ecosystems reveals various challenges, potential paths for future exploration, and important managerial implications that can guide stakeholders in promoting innovation and growth. Access to capital is one of the main difficulties highlighted by startups, with limited access to financial resources, especially in developing countries like Brazil. This limitation hinders their ability to scale and innovate effectively. Startups often face challenges in adapting to rapidly changing market conditions. The need for flexibility and quick decision-making is critical, but many startups struggle to process information and adapt effectively due to a lack of experience and resources. This research shows that ecosystems with higher transaction volumes are those with higher startup densities, demonstrating that investors seek greater diversity in companies to invest in. Human capital density is not related to financial investments, as Rio de Janeiro is the city with the lowest density but is among those receiving the highest transaction volumes.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13468</link>
Bichler, Marquinhos Hartwig
The study was conducted with the aim of exploring the internationalization actions in practice at a Municipal Public University located in the Southwest of Goiás. Internationalization is seen as a vital tool for institutional development, improvement of teaching quality, and differentiation in an increasingly competitive academic environment. The research adopted a qualitative and exploratory approach, characterized as a case study. Data were collected through documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews. The interviews were conducted with several members of the academic community, including professors, administrative staff, and senior management. This approach allowed for an in-depth understanding of these individuals’ perceptions and experiences regarding the internationalization process. The results of the research revealed that, although the university recognizes the importance of internationalization and sees it as a tool for development and improvement, there are several weaknesses and challenges that need to be overcome. Among these challenges are the limitations of linguistic, cultural, and bureaucratic resources. These limitations hinder the progress of internationalization and prevent the university from reaping its benefits. Internationalization is a complex phenomenon that requires a strategic approach and careful management. The benefits of internationalization can be significant, but there are also challenges that need to be managed. Based on the research findings, the study proposes a five-phase internationalization model for the university. This model includes goals and activities that aim to strengthen the internationalization process. The specific objectives of the study were to describe the current status of internationalization at the university, identify the challenges faced by the university regarding internationalization, and suggest strategies to improve the internationalization process. The research contributed to the literature on internationalization in higher education at municipal public HEIs and offers valuable insights for other similar institutions that are planning to implement internationalization initiatives.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13467</link>
The dissertation addresses the Initial Public Offering (IPO) process in the Brazilian context, focusing on the corporate governance and compliance requirements established by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM) and B³ (Brasil Bolsa Balcão). The primary objective of the study is to propose a matrix of requirements for companies preparing to go public, offering a tool that assists in the organization and execution of the IPO in accordance with best practices and regulatory demands. To achieve this, a method was developed using a planning matrix artifact, which encompasses three essential dimensions: Planning, Corporate Governance, and Compliance. The methodology used was based on Design Science (DS) and the Design Science Research (DSR) method, allowing for the creation and validation of the artifact through feedback collection from experienced capital market professionals. The research identified the main benefits of an IPO, such as raising capital and professionalizing management, but also highlighted challenges like high costs and the need for adaptation to regulations. The validation of the method indicated its applicability and relevance to the Brazilian context, contributing both to academic literature and business practice. The study's limitations include its focus on the Brazilian market and the complexity of the IPO process, which may require additional support for companies with less maturity in governance and compliance. The conclusion is that the proposed method can facilitate company preparation for the IPO, mitigating risks and promoting greater security in the process, thereby contributing to the development of the capital market in Brazil.

<title>Mitigação de risco de crédito habitacional bancário no contexto do pós-COVID19</title>
<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13465</link>
<description>Mitigação de risco de crédito habitacional bancário no contexto do pós-COVID19
Morales, Letícia Fick Lemes
This dissertation aimed to develop a proposal for mitigating credit risks in delinquent housing processes in the post-COVID-19 context. The research focused on a detailed analysis of the risks associated with housing credit portfolios in a Brazilian public bank, especially in light of the economic impacts caused by the pandemic. The main credit risks identified included default, collateral risk, and concentration risk. The research method used was qualitative and exploratory, conducted through a case study. In-depth interviews with eight professionals in the sector made it possible to map the causes of these risks and propose guidelines that include negotiable measures in the post-COVID-19 context to mitigate the identified risks. The study contributes both theoretically, by enriching the literature on risk management in financial institutions, and practically, by providing guidelines for risk and credit managers to improve the stability of their portfolios. Despite its contributions, the study acknowledges the limitation of generalizing the results and suggests expanding the research to different contexts and institutions.

<link>http://repositorio.jesuita.org.br/handle/UNISINOS/13463</link>
Feltrin, Gisele Uggioni
The research aimed to analyze how humanized management promotes team engagement in a public bank, exploring how this management approach is understood and implemented by the managers. The study highlights that humanized practices in the workplace, such as integral leadership, empathetic listening, and planning, contribute to both employee productivity and satisfaction. The theoretical framework addresses the evolution and principles of humanized management, which seeks to create healthy and collaborative work environments focused on employee well-being, team development, and positive leadership. Employee engagement is analyzed as a multidimensional phenomenon, extending beyond mere goal attainment to encompass emotional and cognitive commitment. The methodology employed a qualitative exploratory approach, using questionnaires, document analysis, and a literature review to assess humanized management and engagement in a public bank. The results reveal that managers at Bank X recognize humanized management as an important factor for promoting engagement, highlighting practices such as clear communication, flexibility, respect for individual differences, inspiring leadership, and employee recognition. However, the application of these practices is inconsistent and decentralized, relying on individual managerial initiatives. While the institution espouses values such as public spirit, integrity, and inclusion, a formal definition of humanized management was not found in institutional documents, indicating a gap between the proposed organizational culture and its daily practice. Interviewees also noted that although Bank X offers training through its Corporate University, these training programs are not systematically applied, with differences in practical implementation among local managers. Performance evaluations are perceived as result-oriented, without sufficiently considering humanized processes or employee well-being. There is a perception that the bank needs to reformulate these processes to better reflect practices aligned with humanized management.
