Estudo de caso aplicado: utilização do Microsoft SharePoint como ferramenta colaborativa para gerenciamento de projetos de infraestrutura de TI

Abstract

The application of a Project Management methodology based on the Project Management Institute´s PMBoK® - Project Management Body of Knowledge has become increasingly common, almost mandatory, especially in the IT areas. In this context the ability to communicate is an essential competence and the project managers need to develop good skills, apply the recommended processes and use tools to keep it under control. This paper examines the use of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 as a collaborative tool for communications management and verifies its contribution to the IT infrastructure project management. It´s also evidencied that only the use of software or platform does not guarantee that the expected results will be achieved, requiring the association of at least two factors: the application and adaptation of concepts and methodology of project management to the reality and to the business environmental factors and technical and specialized knowledge of IT infrastructure projects.
