Trajetória do arranjo produtivo local de móveis de Bento Gonçalves

Abstract

This dissertation has as its main theme the Furniture Local Productive Arrangement’s course of Bento Gonçalves city through a theoretical and historical basis, and also through a survey of empirical data. By using the concept of Local Productive Arrangements (APL) some aspects related to economies of gathering and innovation as a development device, pointing out cooperation and competition amidst companies, were redeemed. In addition, the transformation industry addressed to furniture manufacturing distinguished, with emphasis on furniture industry in Brazil, and more specifically, in Rio Grande do Sul state. The main focus is given to the creation of Local Productive Arrangements of furniture (APL) of Bento Gonçalves city, and the role performed by its institutions. It was also accomplished a field research obtained through a collection of information close to furniture entrepreneurs from Bento Gonçalves.
