Cidade educadora: um estudo sobre a experiência do Município de Esteio / RS

Abstract

The study analyzes the Educating City Program co-ordinated by the City Department of Education and Sport of Esteio, which integrates the International Association of Educating Cities – AICE – The investigation of qualitative drawing tries to understand the educative processes decurrent of the Educating City Program, studying the articulation produced among managers, teachers and parents of the students registered in the schools of the Municipal Education Net. It also investigates the impacts the Program is producing in the quality of life of this collectivity, in the perspective of the actors who are colaborating with this study. The education is a process that occurs through the experiences lived in all spaces of the city and by the actions of the governmental and not – governmental organizations. Thus, in an articulated way, the public power and the society carry out their education function, with the objective of construction a culture based and articulated in the solidarity among the individuals, groups
